      Spark Plug Wire damping wire is an essential part of the traditional ignition system, and it is the medium through which the ignition coil transmits its energy to the spark plug. The high-voltage damping wire is also called the fire distribution wire, which distributes the ignition sequence, and can transfer the high-voltage fire divided by the distributor to the spark plug, so that the ignition and combustion in the cylinder will do work and drive the engine to rotate.

 

    Spark Plug Wire is generally divided into four parts. One is the conductive material, the other is the insulating rubber, the third is the ignition coil connector, and the fourth is the spark plug connector. (There are also some sub-cylinder lines wrapped with a layer of heat insulation material to prevent the cylinder lines from being burned out) The number of sub-cylinder lines is the same as the number of engine cylinders, mostly four-cylinder, six-cylinder, eight-cylinder, rarely three-cylinder, Twelve cylinders, and some special vehicles with variable number of cylinders. With the development of science and technology, many cars now do not have separate cylinder lines. The cylinder line and ignition coil are integrated together, with one ignition coil for each cylinder, which greatly reduces the volume and provides more convenient conditions for independent ignition of a single cylinder.

    Function of the ignition system


     The function of the ignition system is to ignite the compressed gas mixture in the cylinder by electric spark method and make it combust. The main devices of the ignition system are as follows:


①Ignition coil: It provides high-voltage electricity for ignition, so it is also called high-voltage coil.
②Electric shock breaker: provide current at the moment when the engine needs electric spark.
③ Distributor: Distribute high-voltage electricity to the spark plugs of each cylinder.
④Spark plug wire: Connect the spark plug wire of the distributor to the spark plug.
⑤Spark plug: Use high-voltage electric spark to ignite the mixture in the cylinder.

① To start the engine, first turn the switch of the starter.
②The current flows from the battery to the starter motor, which drives the flywheel ring gear to rotate the engine.
③The piston reciprocates to compress the mixed gas.
④ At the same time, the cam drive system makes the distributor work. Under the action of the built-in cam, the ignition is turned on, and a high-voltage current is generated in the ignition ring. The rotor on the upper part of the distributor transmits the current to the spark plugs of each cylinder to generate sparks.
⑤Use the spark to ignite, the expansion force of the mixed gas generated by the explosion pushes the piston, the engine generates power, and at the same time drives the generator to generate electricity and charge the battery.
